At Secure Vault, protecting your account, passwords, credentials, and personal information is an important part of our service.
This Safety & Legal page explains the basic safety practices, responsible use requirements, reporting options, and important legal information that apply when using Secure Vault.
Your Secure Vault account is designed to provide access to your protected vault and account features. You should take reasonable steps to protect your account.
Secure Vault is designed to help you store passwords and other sensitive credentials in a protected vault.
You should always carefully consider where and with whom you share your credentials.
Secure Vault will not normally ask you to provide your stored passwords through ordinary customer support messages, social media, SMS, or unofficial communication channels.
Never send your complete password vault, master password, OTP, recovery information, or encryption-related secrets to another person unless you fully understand the security implications.
Criminals may attempt to impersonate Secure Vault, our support team, administrators, or other trusted services.
Be careful with unexpected emails, SMS messages, links, attachments, or requests asking for sensitive information.
Secure Vault will not ask you to disclose your password or OTP through an unofficial communication channel.
Before entering sensitive information, verify that you are using the official Secure Vault application or website.
OTPs are temporary verification codes used for authentication and security purposes.
Never share an OTP with another person.
If you receive an OTP that you did not request, do not provide it to anyone. Someone may be attempting to access or register an account using your information.
Recovery information can be highly sensitive because it may help restore access to an account or protected information.
Store your recovery information in a secure location and do not share it publicly.
Losing required recovery information may make it impossible to recover access to certain encrypted information.
The security of your device is an important part of protecting your Secure Vault account.
Secure Vault may use security protections designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, tampering, reverse engineering, automated abuse, or other security threats.
Depending on the platform and security configuration, certain device security conditions may restrict access to the application.
Users must not attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent security controls implemented by Secure Vault.
Secure Vault may use platform security features to reduce the risk of sensitive vault information being captured through screenshots, screen recording, or similar methods.
These protections are intended to improve security but cannot guarantee that information displayed on a device can never be captured or disclosed through every possible method.
Secure Vault may provide features that allow users to share selected credential information.
You are responsible for deciding what information you share and who receives it.
Before sharing a credential, make sure that the recipient is trusted and that you have the legal right to share the information.
Secure Vault is not responsible for misuse of information that you voluntarily share with another person.
Secure Vault must not be used to facilitate unlawful or harmful activities.
If you discover a security problem, suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or another issue affecting Secure Vault, please report it to us as soon as possible.
Please do not publicly disclose sensitive vulnerability information before giving us a reasonable opportunity to investigate and address the issue.
